HRA Pharma provided 100 IUDs

HRA Pharma provided 100 IUDs to a maternity centre under the management of Dr CHUZEL, who has been involved in this field for a number of years in association with the AMD (Medical Action and Development) in Burkina Faso. On the one hand Dr. Chuzel plays a role in the development of a permanent locality for a maternity center in the Comoé region, and on the other hand he plays a role in the surgical management of female genital mutilation and obstetric fistula.

French doctors support The Mona Lisa Africa programme

We are very fortunate to have been contacted by numerous French doctors who very generously offered their medical experience and knowledge of human interaction to participate in the Mona Lisa Africa project. HRA Pharma acknowledges these doctors with great appreciation as well as the French patients who made a significant contribution to maintain making the Mona Lisa Africa programme a success.

Dr KerouedanTake the example of Dr Annie Kerouedan, Gynaecologist and Vice-President of the Diagala Association in MALI. This Humanitarian Association is financed by and takes part in the construction of a dispensary in the village of Diagala in Mali.

Dr KerouedanOn learning that HRA Laboratories launched a programme to facilitate accessibility to contraception in the developing countries, she spontaneously presented her services to aid the HRA Laboratories. Within the framework of this humanitarian mission in Mali in January 2008 she could benefit from the 100 copper Intra Uterine Devices (IUD’s) free of charge.

Another example is that of Dr Joëlle Braud of the ASAM (medical aid) association who received more than a dozen copper IUD’s as part of the humanitarian work done in March 2008 in the Dogon region of Mali (Ville de Sangha). These IUD’s served a role in the training of the health team in the hospital of Sangha.
